Ghost Commander is a highly versatile file manager that offers a wide range of features for managing your files both locally and remotely. In addition to its file management capabilities, it also acts as an FTP, SFTP, SMB (Windows share), WebDAV, BOX, and Dropbox client, making it a powerful tool for accessing various storage platforms.

The user interface of Ghost Commander follows a classic design, with dual-panels that allow for seamless file transfer and organization. The permissions requested by Ghost Commander are as follows:

 <li>INTERNET: Required for FTP and other network plugins to connect to servers. No connection is established without user command.</li>
 <li>ACCESS_WIFI_STATE: Ensures that the WiFi connection does not disconnect during file transfers.</li>
 <li>WAKE_LOCK: Prevents the phone from entering deep sleep mode during file transfers.</li>
 <li>WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Enables the file manager to copy files to the sdcard.</li>
 <li>VIBRATE: Causes the phone to vibrate when a long file operation is completed.</li>
 <li>INSTALL_SHORTCUT: Allows creation of shortcut icons on the device's desktop.</li>
 <li>MOUNT_UNMOUNT_FILESYSTEMS: Enables the file manager to perform mount/unmount operations as requested by the user.</li>
